Qualification: Professional Degree in Law from a recognized university.
Pay Scale: As per norms
Age Limit: 18 to 35 years as of 01-01-2025, with relaxation for reserved categories as per HP government rules.
Desirable Qualifications: Knowledge of customs, manner, and dialects of Himachal Pradesh is desirable.
Experience Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience as an advocate.
Desired Skills: Legal knowledge, advocacy skills, research, and communication skills.
Eligibility Criteria: Professional Degree in Law from a recognized university with at least 2 years of experience as an advocate. Candidates must provide an experience certificate from the President, District Bar Association/Bar Council. Knowledge of customs, manner, and dialects of Himachal Pradesh is desirable.
Job Responsibilities: Legal prosecution work under the Department of Home (Prosecution), H.P., and representing the government in district courts.

Himachal Pradesh attained statehood on 25th January, 1971. Prior to this date, the function of Public Service Commission in respect of the civil services and posts in connection with the affairs of the Union Territory of Himachal Pradesh were being discharged by the Union Public Service Commission. The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (Members) Regulations, 1971 were notified by the Governor of Himachal Pradesh on 8th April, 1971. The Commission has its own building and the office located at Nigam Vihar (Chotta Shimla) on Cart Road.
