Quick Multiplication Trick – Anthyok Model

We all need to do multiplication many times. The methods of Vedic Mathematics are very useful for fast calculations. In this post you will learn how to multiply quickly using Anthyok Model of Vedic Math.

Multiplication using Anthyok Model

Consider multiplication like 59 x 51, 97 x 93, 87 x 83. In all these multiplication the digit at ten place of multiplicand and multiplier is same. and the sum of digits in unit place of multiplicand and multiplier is 10.

Multiply Quickly by Arambha Model – Multiplication Trick

We all need to do multiplication many times. The method of Vedic Mathematics are very useful for fast calculations. In this post you will learn how to multiply quickly using Arambha Model of Vedic Math.

Multiplication using Arambha Model

Consider multiplication like 36 x 76, 42 x 62, 79 x 39, 45 x 65. In all these multiplication the unit digit of both the number is same and sum of digits in tens place of multiplicand and multiplier is 10.

Arambha Model for multiplication can be used if the sum of digits in tens place of multiplicand and multiplier is 10 and digits in the unit place of multiplicand and multiplier are same.

Video – Quick Multiplication Trick using Arambha Model

The method of multiplication using Aramha Model is very simple as given below. For better understanding let us consider example of 36 x 76 :-

Trick for Quick Addition of Two Number – Vedic Maths

Step-1: Multiply unit digit of both the number i.e. multiplicand and multiplier. Carry (if any) will not be forwarded. If the multiplication is in single digit add ‘0’ at tens place.

  • 6 x 6 = 36 (no carry will be forwarded)

Step-2: Multiply number at tens place of both the number. Add the number at unit place in the sum.

  • 3 x 7 = 21
  • 21 + 6 = 27

Step-3: Note down the answer in upward direction from step-2 and step-1 i.e. 2736.

Step 2 – Starting from the right side of “..367..”, get the sum of three digits one by one as following:

  • .+.+7=7
  • .+7+6=13 (1 will be carried forward)
  • 7+6+3+1 (carry from above)= 17 (1 will be carried forward)
  • 6+3+.+1 (carry from above)=10 (1 will be carried forward)
  • 3+.+.+1 (carry from above)=4

Step 3 – Note down the answer in upward direction ignoring carry (4 – 0 – 7 – 3 – 7) i.e 40737

Trick for Quick Subtraction – Vedic Maths

All of us know how to do subtraction. Following is a simple trick for quick subtraction.

Method of Quick Subtraction

Please remember the formulae Less the base, Add the Purakha” for quick subtraction. To know how to calculate base & purakha click here.

Learn how to calculate Base & Purakha.

For understanding let’s consider an example i.e. 156 – 97.

Step 1 – Calculate base and purakha of the 2nd number. In this example of 156-97, the base of 2nd number is 100 and purakha is 3.

Step 2 – From 1st number (156), less the base (100) of 2nd number and then add the purakha (3): 156 -100 + 3, so the answer is 59.
