    Appointment of Spices Research Trainee at Indian Cardamom Research Institute

    Spices Board Recruitment for: Spices Research Trainee (SRT)

    No. of Trainees required: Agronomy/Soil Science Division (03 Nos.), Plant Pathology Division (03 Nos.), Entomology Division (01 No.)

    Stipend: Rs.21,000/per month

    Age: Not more than 30 Years as on date of application

    Method of selection: Screening based on qualification followed by written test.

    Qualification

    Agronomy & Soil Science

    Essential : M.Sc. Agronomy/Soil Science/Biochemistry/Chemistry with minimum 55% marks.
    Desirable: Working knowledge in computer and experience in related field.

    Plant Pathology

    Essential: M.Sc. in Agriculture (Plant Pathology)/ M.Sc. Microbiology/ M.Sc. Botany with minimum 55% marks.
    Desirable: Working knowledge in computer and experience in related field

    Entomology

    Essential: M.Sc. Nematalogy, M.Sc. Sericulture, M.Sc. Environmental
    sciences, M.Sc. Forestry, MSc Agri. Microbilogy, MSc Microbiology (Botany with specialization in microbiology), MSc Horticulture, M.Sc. /M.tech.Agri – Biotechnology, M.Sc.Agri. Extension, M.Sc. Agri. Plant Pathology with minimum 55% marks.
    Desirable: Working knowledge in computer and experience in related field.

    Skills & Competencies

    Agronomy , Soil Science & Plant Pathology

    Recording field observations, monitoring and maintenance of germplasam
    etc.
    Knowledge in computer applications, working knowledge in data analysis,
    interpretation of results and report preparation etc.

    Entomology

    Recording field observations, monitoring and maintenance of research trial plots,Bio-control Agent production etc.
    Knowledge in computer applications, working knowledge in data analysis,
    interpretation of results and report preparation etc.

    Spices Board has issued notification for Engagement of Retired Persons in Spices Board. Applications are invited from retired Govt. Employees who have served in the Central/ State Govt Departments/ PSUs/ Autonomous Bodies/ Commodity Boards for engaging as Clerical Assistants on Contractual basis for a period of two years or upto the age of 65 years whichever is earlier, for deployment in Spices Board, Head Office, Kochi and its outstation offices.

    Eligibility:

    1.He/She should be a Retired Employee from the Central/State Govt Departments/ PSUs/Autonomous Bodies/ preferably Commodity Boards with considerable experience in attending clerical works.

    2.He/ She should have effective communication and inter personal skills.

    3.He/ She should have working experience in using Computers with MS Office/Open Office, Email & Internet

    Educational qualification: Degree from a recognised University/Institution

    Age limit: Below 64 years.

    Remuneration: Rs.25,000/- per month (consolidated)

    Method of Selection: Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview at the respective places by the Board.

    Willing retired Govt. Employees who possess the above qualification & experience, good health and are willing to join immediately may submit their applications in the given format (format attached as Annexure II) along with relevant documents in support of qualification and experience to hrd.sb-ker@gov.in on or before 08th April 2025 .
